OVERVIEW
Description:

The management of an active threat incident develops rapidly, and many times ends with multiple injuries and death. This program develops a “command and control” format that is intended to be adopted and shared by Law Enforcement, Fire/EMS, and Dispatch agencies.
-
The class is (1) 8-hour day packed with classroom instruction and practical scenarios. The morning consists of 4 hours of instruction followed by the afternoon of practical scenarios where students will actively participate in simulated events to practice and reinforce the concepts learned in the morning session.

The content and principles contained in this program apply to all ranks within the Police and Fire/EMS disciplines. All responders to an Active Threat Incident must have a strong working knowledge of the Incident Command Structure to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
